World Test Championship Final's Day 4 also got washed out due to rain and obviously the reserve day which is the 6th day was used. So in the start of Day 5, only some time was lost due to rain and after the rain the New Zealand team came to bat. This time the Indian pace bowling attack came up with more improved line and lengths, before on Day 3 they were bowling the balls on good length whereas the Kiwi  pace bowling attack used more fuller balls and lesser good length balls. So, on Day 5 the Indian were bowling very good lines and length. After the first hour Mohammed Shami took the wicket of Ross Taylor with a outstanding catch by Shubman Gill on Extra - Cover. After 1 - 2 overs Ishant Sharma was brought by Virat Kohli as a bowling change and he took the wicket of Henry Nicholls. Mohammed Shami who was bowling with Ishant Sharma took the wicket of BJ Watling playing last test BJ Watling could not do anything as Shami bowl a beautiful ball to dismiss him. Colin De Grandhomme and Kane Williamson played till lunch and the spinners did not get a over till lunch. After Lunch, De Grandhomme came and the first ball after lunch was four of Jasprit Bumrah. They both did a good partnership before Shami took the wicket of Grandhomme. Colin De Grandhomme was LBW. Kyle Jamieson came to bat after that, he also was playing fast and at the other end Williamson was playing his own game and was trying to get to his fifty. After hitting 12 runs in Shami's over Jamieson got out. He was trying to play the pull shut and got out. After that Tim Southee came in to bat, he was also playing fast. Kane Williamson was at 49 and then Ishant Sharma bowled an outside - off stump ball and Williamson edged that ball and the ball went straight to the second slip and Virat Kohli toke a brilliant catch. Pujara and Virat Kohli played the whole session and India had a lead of 34 and at the end of the day India were 64 - 2. Then the next day, the reserve day, everyone was expecting a draw but India's batting collapse led it a one - sided match. Then on the start of the day, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson started the bowling attack and after some overs Jamieson took the wicket of Virat Kohli, he got out to Jamieson 2nd time. It was outside - off short ball and Kohli tried to play it on the back - foot and he edged it and it went straight to BJ Watling. After few overs, Pujara also got out to Jamieson. He bowled an angled ball coming into the left hander and Tom Latham tried to hit over the mid - wicket and he was out of his crease and Rishabh Pant did no mistake and toke the ball and hit it on the stumps and Tom Latham got stumped. World Test Championship Final: Day 2 and Day 3

So, World Test Championship (WTC) I mentioned about this in my World Test Championship blog. The World Test Championship Final had started on June 19. It was scheduled to started on 18th June but the first day got washed out due to rain. The ICC had announced about the reserve day which is the sixth day which means that if due to rain or bad light 90 overs are not bowled in a day so the reserve day which is the sixth day will take place. The first day got washed out so the play started on 19th June. So Kane Williamson's Kiwis won the toss and elected to bowl first. Virat Kohli's Army batted first. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India a very good start by doing a 62 - run partnership. After that Kyle Jamieson took the wicket of Rohit Sharma who was playing very well. Rohit Sharma was caught in the slips by a very good catch of Tim Southee. Then after that over Neil Wagner came to bowl his first over and took the wicket of Shubman Gill. India were 62-2. Then Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara played till lunch. After lunch they both were playing well but Pujara as usual was playing very slow. Then Pujara hit a four of Neil Wagner and after playing 35 balls made his first runs, at the other end Virat Kohli was playing well. Then Trent Boult took the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara got LBW. Then Ajinkaye Rahane and Virat Kohli were playing well and did a 58 - run partnership before tea. Virat Kohli was at 40 and Rahane at 20. Then after tea, They both were playing well but due to bad light the math got delayed for just 5 -10 minutes and after that two times the match got delayed due to bad light. Then the third time full match got delayed and only 67 overs were bowled and after the first day got washed out 98 overs had to be bowled in one day and only 67 overs were bowled. Then the next day the play started half an hour late because there had to be some inspection by the umpires. Then when the play started Virat Kohli who was on 44 Kyle Jamieson took the wicket of him by a brilliant bowl. Virat Kohli got LBW. Then Rishabh Pant who was facing some issues with the swing of Trent Boult and Kyle Jamieson did not made a single run till playing 18 balls and this happens only sometimes with Rishabh Pant. Then after hitting a four, after some balls he got of a outside - off stump ball which was meant to leave but he edged and it went straight to the slips and Kyle Jamieson got his third wicket. Ravindra Jadeja came to bat after Rishabh Pant. Ajinkaye Rahane was playing nicely and was rotating strikes and was looking confident. They both were playing well, Jadeja was not attacking and was playing defensive. Ajinkaye Rahane who was at 49 got out to a very good fielding change set up by Neil Wagner. From the start of Day 3 India had lost 3 big wickets Virat Kohli, Ajinkaye Rahane and Rishabh Pant. Ravichandran Ashwin came and was first facing issues with swing but after that he played some beautiful shots and made 22 runs and got out in slips of Tim Southee. Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma played till the lunch. Ishant Sharma got out in the slips of Kyle Jamieson. Jasprit Bumrah came and got out of the first ball LBW, he also got out of Kyle Jamieson and he grabbed a fifer in the inaugural of the World Test Championship. Then Ravindra Jadeja also got out to Tim Southee. India's whole team got out on 217.

Then New Zealand came to bat and its openers gave the Kiwis a firing start as they did a 70 - run partnership and it happened the first time that both the openers of both the teams played more than 20 overs. Then Ravichandran Ashwin broke the partnership by taking the wicket of Tom Latham. After some overs Ishant Sharma came and took the wicket of Devon Conway. The match stopped due to bad light and New Zealand played only 49 overs.
